Is it me or does James Cameron's Avatar look way too pleased with itself?
Seriously, it's as if it simultaneously pats itself on the back and strokes its dick all over my screen. |

Seeking to indulge both my Dean/Castiel and Dean/Sam tendencies (yes, it's possible), I propose someone make a Castiel-centric Castiel/Dean/Sam* humor-cum-crack vid set to "Boyfriend"--Castiel being Ashlee Simpson in this scenario, obv.
Someone make that happen.
*triangle, not threesome. |

Thank you. This makes up for a season of my distraught emotions and frustration at your seeming rampant character discarding.
I look forward to season four.
Regards, me
p.s no more horror-movie stunts, okay? |

My brother was visiting today and when I had to leave for work, I left him in the company of Supernatural Season Three. I received many fanboy texts throughout the day--this being my favorite:

Oh my gosh why is the H1N1 vaccine shot up the nose?!?!!
Honestly, people, I can't even use Afrin. And I was really intending to get vaccinated for the first time in years. D: |

Unpopular fannish opinion here: I'm excited (I think?) for Love Never Dies. I think I think this because I don't necessarily associate it with the original or think of it as canon in any way. At worst, I can ignore it, at best I can be pleasantly surprised. :)
I simply adore "The Coney Island Waltz." I think it's lovely and captures both American culture and the opening of the 20th century mood. For those who find it too carnival-like, I say that is precisely why I like it (and duh). I love fair music because it is both joyful and inherent creepy. There's something sinister amongst all that joy, and I like the tension of both emotions at once.
"Till I Hear You Sing" has the potential to grow on me. It's not forgettable and oh-so-bland like "No One Would Listen" but I'm not thrilled either, but I think this is more due to the lyrics (I really hope they bring in another lyricist, which seems unlikely given that the cast recording is already completed). Again, I do think the music seems more modern and American than the original, which is completely unfounded since I know nothing about music but there you have it.
I see folks saying it reminds them of Sunset Blvd or Woman in White or even "Reflections" from Mulan, but honestly my first thought was "Johanna" from Sweeney Todd. Seriously.
Not going to lie, when Ramin Karimloo gets teary-eyed and all powerful and booming towards the end...I do too.
I know there's a lot of critique of Sierra Boggess as being too popish for this (better Ariel than Christine), but I saw her in Vegas the summer it opened and adored her. Though vocally capable, I think it was her acting and her presence that I so was taken with. Before seeing Trista Moldovan this spring, Sierra was the best and most empathetic Christine I'd seen.
Still pissy about the title, but I love the creepiness of the production art. Even if cali2az would say it looks the cover of a bad emo album (I'm thinking Panic! at the Disco, myself).
ETA: I made icons...because I imagine no one else will. Relatedly, screencaps from that scrapbook make lovely wallpapers.

Disney,
You known the quickest way to make me lose interest in your upcoming Rapunzel ? Replace Kristen Chenoweth and Dan Fogler as the lead voices with Mandy Moore and that guy from Chuck.
Please to be making good fairy tales again. :( |

Am I the only one who was terrified of Mary Poppins? I could never fathom why those children were so excited to be left in her charge. Must be the mark of repressed and stern British society that she is thought of as not only preferable, but the ideal nanny. Give me the chimney sweep any day. |

It super saddens me to say that this season's Project Runway is bland. I'm so not feeling it. I don't know if it was the too long wait, the switch to Lifetime, the switch to L.A. or what. The tone is off. I don't really care about any designer and find myself unable to concentrate during the episodes.
And I used to dig it so much. :( |
